AI-Powered Prediction Markets
Axiom is a next-generation prediction market platform built to demystify complex global events. While the sector has seen massive growth, most platforms stay cluttered and opaquesurfacing odds without the narrative users need to act with confidence.
As senior product designer, the mandate was design-led execution: probability-first visualization, AI context on every market, and production-grade UImoving in tight loops from systems thinking to shipped React surfaces.
Prediction markets move fast; users are bombarded with fluctuating percentages without understanding the signal behind the move.
The distance between idea and implemented feature needs to be near-zero; 32+ features shipped inside a compressed timeline.
The product strategy centered on an AI insight layer, probability-first visualization, and two-tap trade executionso dense market data reads as narrative, not noise. Design systems, charts, and motion were implemented directly in React for a single thread from Figma to production MVP.
Experience the actual platform
Every market ships a generative brief plus a “Why it moved” readout that ties price shifts to real-world signalsturning a static chart into a living narrative so users understand the crowd, not just the number.
The trade sheet removes friction with quick amounts, a mobile-first bottom sheet, and clear upside / “Your Edge” before confirmationrisk reads instantly, not after three screens of fine print.
A live feed connects headlines to impacted markets and magnitude of movecross-referencing news and price so the product behaves like an intelligence surface, not a spreadsheet of odds.
Custom charting prioritizes probability over price: sparklines on the feed, time-vs-probability on market pages, and semantic color (emerald YES / ruby NO) so sentiment lands before users parse digits.
Desktop serves as a dense command center with breaking tickers and carousels; mobile delivers a portrait-first flowscroll the feed, scan probability cards, and place a trade in seconds. The same design language scales without dilution.
Active traders get a live order book accordion for ask/bid depth, plus explicit Rules and Market Context tabsformal resolution conditions and AI summaries so trust and clarity stay anchored in the contract of each market.
Probability-first flows, market narratives, and risk surfaces tuned for retail and power users.
Tokens-to-components pipeline for charts, sheets, feeds, and trade confirmation patterns.
From AI briefs and signals to order book and resolution contextimplemented in React.
Simulated real-time feeds to stress-test density, hierarchy, and state under rapid updates.
From AI surfaces to live signals, charts, and trade flows in one MVP pass.
Compressed execution from system definition to interactive build reviews.
Portrait-first trading path alongside dense desktop analytics.
UI engineered in React to match the intended hierarchy, spacing, and motion.
"The objective was to transform 'gambling on outcomes' into 'trading on truth' elevating the UI from a list of odds to a source of intelligence."
